Salman F Rahman - A Born Business Leader

Salman F Rahman, one of the most prominent business intellectuals of this era, was born in an aristocratic  family in Bangladesh. He, along with his brother Sohail F Rahman founded one of the largest companies in  Bangladesh, the BEXIMCO Group. Other than that, he is designated in vital positions in several companies  including Bextex, BOL, Beximco Pharmaceuticals, IFIC Bank, Shinepukur Holdings, which are all top achievers of their respective sectors in Bangladesh.

Salman F Rahman showed persistence by working day and night and bringing BEXIMCO Group to its present position. BEXIMCO's materialization into becoming one of the largest private industries is the result of Salman F Rahman's constant endeavor. He initiated Bangladesh Enterprise Institute; a pioneer institute where thinking  is all to be done in Economic and Social prospect.Not only in business, he has also applied his persistence and brilliance for the betterment of human kind. He worked several times as an active humanitarian for causes such as poverty alleviation and basic human rights.

He brought corporate social responsibility in focus, and involved his affiliated companies actively in regional and national activities.He has showed diversified characteristic of choice; apart from being the Chairman of the Abahani Krira Chakra, leading sporting club of the country, he also involved his company into the sports sector. BEXIMCO officially,sponsored Bangladesh National Cricket team in the 2011 ICC world Cup and also was the title sponsor for the FIFA September 2011 football match between Nigeria and Argentina.

BEXIMCO is the largest private sector group of Bangladesh. Salman F Rahman's work is reflected in the evolution of the group. Starting from being the country's largest private sector employer to having the most diversified sectors that incorporates ceramics, hotels, resorts to what not, the group has topped all. The group is one of the very few Bangladeshi companies that went international. The pharmaceutical side has established its name in the international market for its quality of medicines, and gained prominence in this sector too. A great dessert on top of that is the delightful achievement of being the first company from Bangladesh to be included  as a member of the London stock Exchange.
